About Madisen

Madisen Redar is a dementia care specialist and occupational therapist with nearly a decade of experience helping people living with Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's, and related progressive neurocognitive conditions — and the families who support them — live with more independence, dignity, and connection.

She is a Licensed Positive Approach to Care® Certified Dementia Trainer and Dementia Educator, the nationally respected, person-centered approach to dementia developed by Teepa Snow, and holds additional certifications as a Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, Certified Dementia Practitioner, and Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist. Her clinical background spans hospital-based brain health programs, community rehabilitation, and caregiver-focused care management, giving her a rare, full-circle view of what families actually need at each stage of a diagnosis.

Teaching, Speaking & Writing

Madisen has taught and spoken widely — leading Positive Approach to Care trainings, facilitating cognitive rehabilitation programs, and presenting at conferences and community events on topics like dementia-related behaviors, fitness to drive, and navigating disease progression using the GEMS® model. Her writing on memory and independence has appeared in outlets including Everyday Health and Cleveland Clinic Health Essentials, and she regularly volunteers her time with organizations supporting people affected by Parkinson's, dystonia, and Alzheimer's disease.

Why Purposeful Path

Through Purposeful Path, Madisen brings this same expertise directly to families and care partners — translating years of clinical experience into practical, compassionate guidance for navigating one of life's hardest transitions. Her approach is simple: meet people where they are, speak in plain language, and help them feel less alone.
